This Privacy Policy describes how Story Mode ("we," "us," or "the Service"), a personal assistant messaging service operated by a sole proprietor, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our SMS/text messaging program. The Service is used by the proprietor and the proprietor's own staff. A person opts in only by personally entering their own mobile number into the proprietor's assistant and confirming consent in person; we do not collect numbers through any web form or from any third party.
We collect only the information needed to operate the messaging service: your mobile phone number, your opt-in status and the date/time of your consent, and the content of the SMS messages you exchange with us. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this SMS program, and we do not purchase phone numbers or message anyone who has not voluntarily provided their number and opted in.
We use your information solely to operate the personal conversational messaging service you opted into. This includes exchanging conversational replies between you and the assistant, personal reminders, scheduling confirmations and reminders, to-do follow-ups, and alerts about time-sensitive or urgent messages. We do not use your information for marketing or promotional messaging.
We do not share, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be processed only by the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you requested (for example, our telecommunications/messaging carrier), and only for that delivery purpose.
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the Service. Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier's plan. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance.
You opt in by personally entering your own mobile number into the proprietor's assistant and confirming consent in person; you then receive a confirmation message and reply YES or START to begin. There is no public web form. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP; you will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the address below.
We retain message content and consent records only as long as needed to operate the Service and to meet legal or carrier compliance obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time.
The SMS messaging program is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect mobile numbers from children through this SMS program.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
